Introduction
The Promotions feature provides you with the opportunity to offer exclusive deals and discounts across a variety of offers, products, categories, and brands. On Astore Shop, this feature is accessible via the top menu under the Promotions tab, on the Product Detail Pages (PDP) and in the shopping cart for the clients/hotels.
Promotions offer a win-win scenario for all stakeholders involved:
- For clients: spend less and receive more value
- For suppliers: boost product sales and build stronger customer relationships
There are two primary ways to create a promotion in Mirakl through the offer file template and in the Promotions section.

Promotions displayed in Astore Shop
When you create a promotion, it will be displayed on Astore Shop for the clients as below. The visibility of these promotions depends on the settings you configure. Let's take a sneak peek at how promotions are showcased in the Front Office (FO):
- In the Promotions tab: Clients can click on "Promotions" to access a dedicated Product Landing Pages (PLP) showcasing the promoted products
- Directly on the dedicated product page
- In the shopping cart: clients can can see the promotional marketing banner
Please note: displays may differ from one promotion to another, depending on your settings and the size of your marketing banner!
Conditions and Buyer advantage
When creating a promotion, it is crucial to consider both the conditions and the buyer advantage. These two elements are the most important setups you need to configure:
Conditions - This setup pertains to the criteria for the buyer's purchase. You will need to choose from four condition options:
- At least this amount: the buyer must spend a minimum specified monetary amount
- For every amount: the buyer receives the benefit for every specified monetary amount spent
- At least this quantity of items: the buyer must purchase a minimum specified quantity of items
- For every quantity of items: the buyer receives the benefit for every specified quantity of items purchased
Buyer Advantage - This setup pertains to the rewards or benefits the buyer receives. As a supplier, you will need to choose from three options:
- Amount off: a specific monetary discount on the purchase
- Free items: complimentary products given to the buyer
- Percentage off: a percentage discount on the purchase
These selections will form your promotion, whether you aim to offer additional products to your clients after they reach a certain spending threshold or provide other incentives based on their purchases.
Promotions types
There are several types of promotions available in Mirakl. To help you understand, let's explore six scenarios that combine conditions and buyer advantages. Below are the main promotions you can create.
For these examples, let's consider a client who wants to buy chocolate:
Promotion 1 - Buyer purchases at least this amount and gets amount off
If the client buys at least €15 worth of chocolate, they get €5 off.
Promotion 2 - Buyer purchases at least this amount and gets free items
If the client buys at least €15 worth of chocolate, they receive a free pen.
Promotion 3 - Buyer purchases at least this amount and gets percentage off
If the client buys at least €15 worth of chocolate, they get 10% off.
Promotion 4 - Buyer purchases for every amount and gets amount off
For every €15 spent on chocolate, the client receives €5 off (e.g. if user spends €35, he should receive €10 off).
Promotion 5 - Buyer purchases at least this quantity of items and gets free items
If the client buys at least 10 chocolate bars, they receive a free pen.
Promotion 6 - Buyer purchases for every quantity of items and gets percentage off
For every 10 chocolate bars purchased, the client gets 10% off.
These promotions are designed to be flexible and advantageous, allowing you to create compelling offers that attract more clients and increase sales. Additionally, there are a total of 12 possible combinations of conditions and buyer advantages available, giving you a wide range of options to tailor promotions to your specific needs.

Validation process
Once you have created your promotion, it needs to be validated by someone from Accor before it goes live on Astore Shop. Accor have the ability to activate or deactivate promotions, and they are responsible for ensuring that all promotional conditions and advantages are properly set.
Please note: you must inform Accor every time you create a promotion! Otherwise, they won't be able to validate your promotion.
This way, you can ensure that your promotion is live as soon as possible, providing maximum benefit to your clients.
