Context
Some suppliers have products with varying cut-off times depending on a product or category. Sometimes hotels used to sometimes miss cut-off times and therefore could not order as flexibly as they needed. The option we've developed to create cut-off times at an offer level will increase the flexibility of the Astore Shop platform for customers and helps you as a supplier meet demands.
It is possible for you as a supplier to set a cut-off time on two levels:
- On your "shop level" in your pairing file/supplier calendar (general cut-off time that applies to your shop as a whole), this has always been an option for youhistorically;
- On offer levels through separate settings in Mirakl (only applicable to offers you have selected), this is now a new development to better meet the needs of customers.
How to add new cut-off times on an offer level:
There are 3 ways to add cut-off times on an offer level:
1. Manually
2. Via Excel upload
3. Via API
Please follow the instructions below for each method.
1. The Manual Method
First login to Mirakl back office. If you need help with this, please consult: this article
Please use the Cut-off time field in Mirakl back office by going to "My inventory">"My offers" and selecting the offer you wish to add a custom cut-off time for:
A new field has been added to the offers page, where you can now add the cut-off time for a specific offer.
Please note that only integers, in a 24 hour clock notation can be used: 0-23
Half hours, such as 1.5 or 13.5 are not accepted and will not be activated. Hours outside of the 24 hour notation will also be rejected.
2. The Excel Upload Method
First login to Mirakl back office. If you need help with this, please consult: this article
1. To use the Excel/CSV template import mode please download the "Ready to import" Offer file via "My inventory" and the template button on the right.
2. You can now complete the new column "cut-of-time" in the excel:
3. Finally, you must import the Offer file in the Update mode in Mirakl via "My Inventory"> "Upload File":
3. The API method
For suppliers that use API, you need to add a tag to your code to add a cut-off time on an offer level.
In this example below, the new cut-off time is set to 14.00 or 2PM, as you can see in the 4th line:
Example of how this feature can be used
Possible User Scenario:
Magento calendar cut-off time and Mirakl offer 1 cut-off time are exceeded but not yet for the second offer
- There is a split in cart
- Two tick boxes that need to be separately validated
- Two notifications “Order before 8.00am to be delivered on the 04/04/2023 at the earliest”
AND
“Order before 2.00pm to be delivered on 04/04/2023 at the earliest”
This will visually look like this for a customer in Astore Shop:
You will be able to notice the two separate tick boxes that would need to be validated separately by customers in the shopping cart to place the order.
Best practices:
For new suppliers that will be onboarded we strongly advice that the earliest cut-off time on an offer level should not occur before the standard cut-off time of their store in the supplier calendar.
That means that if you set a cut-off time on an offer at 08.00, your supplier calendar cut-off time should be set before 08.00 and not after 08.00.
