You, our suppliers need to provide product details in Mirakl so that you can sell your products on Astore Shop. This article will explain what you need to complete in a product template file so that your products display well on Astore Shop.
Here is an introduction video on how to fill in your product template in Mirakl using the Mirakl template:
Summary:
- 00'02 - What is this video about
- 00'08 - Reminder of the four steps to import your products:
- 00'40 - What your clients see on the product page
- 00'56 - Explaination and examples of the product template
Things to remember for your product file import:
- Do not edit the structure of the product template: For product imports to work in Mirakl it is important not to edit the structure of the template (merge the cells, change their color or order) so that the Mirakl system can read the product import file properly. If cells are merged or reordered this will generate an error on import.
- No more than 10,000 products should be imported per import file: If you wish to import more than 10,000 products, you must split the file and do two imports.
- Fill in as many fields as possible: Most fields are not mandatory, but we try to encourage you to fill in as many fields as possible. The more fields (also known as attributes) that are completed the better quality product pages on AStore Shop and the stronger your products appear in the search results.
- Keep the same codes for your products: If you want to change the unique identifier of your product, for example from EAN to VN, you must escalate this to the Seller support team so that they can support you.
A brief guidance on how to fill the most important fields in your product template
- Category - select the product category from the drop-down list. There is no possibility to add a new category yourself (categories are defined by Accor). If your product does not match with any available category, it means, that while generating the template file in a system, you have missed some of the categories you need. In this case, you have to generate and download the template again.
After selecting the category in the first column, all system mandatory fields are marked in red. However, we recommend you to fill up the recommended, yellow fields as well, if you have information that will be helpful for your customers.
- Shop SKU - this is the product number in the supplier catalog.
Within a product template many attributes have different language and different country channel versions (for example, fr_fr, be_fr, uae_en, pl_en, uk_en) Depending on the sales channel of your shop, identify the different language versions (local) you should fill. It is not necessary and not recommended to fill the other versions.
The text fields must be filled with a capital letter at the beginning of the sentence and the rest in lower case, without abbreviation and with the packaging. Example : "Charolais beef rib 5kg x 1".To help you, here is a formula that you can use in Excel: =NOMPROPRE(LEFT(H36;1))&STXT(H36;2;NBCAR(H36))
- Product name - the product name must be precise and define what you are selling exactly.
For example: you can not only write “apple juice” or “chair model SUPER” but “Apple juice 6 bottles x 0.25 ml” and “Red oak chair model SUPER”. - Long description - This should be a commercial and descriptive piece of text, not a duplicate of the product title. We recommend at least 20 words featuring origins, flavour, history of the products (etc...). Do not add here information about delivery costs, which you can add at the level of the offer, in the field “Offer description” (Filling the offer template file)
- Main image - here you must provide a URL link to the picture of your product. It is important to provide a URL link to the picture itself, not to the page of the website on which it is placed. You can find more information about uploading the pictures and their required parameters in Images format.
- EAN/VN - these fields are not marked in red, but it is mandatory to provide one of the two. If the products do not have an EAN, you must fill in the VN field with your internal product reference (Shop SKU). Without this data, the import of the template will not be done correctly.
You can use any format in the EAN field of the template: text, number, or custom format.
In the template, you can only enter one GTIN reference (EAN or VN). By entering two references for the same product, your product will be rejected, with the error message: "Too many gtin parameters were filled". To see more download errors, see Common import errors.
- In the template you can find mandatory fields concerning units and packaging. You may check this article for more details:Units of measure
- There are two additional mandatory columns for products from the categories “Food” and “Drinks”:
- Allergen free product - choose “yes” or “no” from the drop-down list.
- Allergen - if a product is an allergen free product: enter “none”.
Otherwise if the product has allergens, you must go to the “ReferenceData” tab and choose the correct allergens from the allergen list (It is not possible to add other allergens). You have to copy one allergen (or more) and paste it in the Allergen column. If you copy more than one word, you should separate them by a comma, with no spaces between as per the example below.
- Storage Temperature - In some cases, this field is mandatory, E.g. in case of alcohols as wine or beer. If your product is from the “Grocery” category, choose “dry” from the drop-down list. If it is from another category, choose “ambient”. To ensure that it is the grocery one, check the category chosen in the first column.
In general, the best practice to complete the fields is to:
- Check the format of the value to be entered - a tooltip appears when you click on the cell concerned
- Check if the field refers to a list of values - you have to go on the second tab "ReferenceData" in the product import file to check it out.
Every time you need to use a decimal value, it is recommended and asked to use dot instead of comma.
E.g. 1.5 kg instead of 1,5 kg.
