Hotels use Astore shop to order your products.
You must use Mirakl to upload your products and offers which are then displayed on Astore Shop for hotels to order.
But what do we mean by a product?
"A product" in Astore shop or Mirakl is an article that is being sold.
Its defining physical characteristics do not change or vary over time.
You can represent each of your products you want to sell on Astore shop by importing the products and their details into Mirakl
Each product on AStore Shop has its own "product sheet". The product sheet displays to the hotels all of the product details that you have uploaded. Here is an example of a product sheet:
Every product must have certain attributes (or fields) completed which do not change. These include but are not limited to:
Product Name, Long Product Description, Category, Image, Selling and Packaging units and coefficients, Brand, Manufacturer, Tax Class.
The more detailed a product sheet is, the more value it has to the clients. You can add value to the product sheet by updating attributes in a detailed and accurate manner.
For a product to be sold on Astore Shop it must have an associated offer.
An "Offer" is a conditional proposal made up of Price, stock, lead time to ship - i.e. attributes that can Vary over time.
What is the difference between a product and offer?
A product is the physical product that is sold. For example a can of coke. The attributes and characteristics of a product should not change
An offer is the terms under which a product is sold and they can vary. An offer is the price the product is sold for, the stock of the product and the lead time to ship of the product.
What is the process to add a product to Astore Shop for hotels to order them?
For your product to appear for sale on Astore Shop a few steps need to be completed. Here is an overview of each steps. You can deep dive on each step in the other articles relating to product management.
- You must upload product details to Mirakl (via creation form, product template, or API)
- You must check the products are well integrated into Mirakl
- A good integration into Mirakl is indicated to you via the error reports and integration statuses on the product import status window.
- You work to clear any errors on the product imports and reimport the products as many times necessary until errors are cleared
- You must ask for the publication of your products to Support
- Once products are published you will have to add an associated offer.
- Once the offer is active and once the systems have synchronised the product and offer appears on the front for the hotel.
